Purple Line Extension 1
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Client: Skanska Traylor Shea Joint Venture
Project Description: Subway Line extension of approximately 3.92 miles of new rail.
Scope of Work: Ocular Innovations provided Aerial photography and video of existing conditions of over 197 commercial structures. A detailed report and video file containing all defects and findings cataloged by severity and location.
Regional Connector
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Client: Regional Connector Constructors
Project Description: A light rail tunnel connection currently being built through Downtown Los Angeles to connect the current Metro Rail A and E lines at 7th Street/Metro Center station to the current Gold Line and Union Station.
Scope of Work: Our team provided Aerial photography of the lay down yards at 1st and Alameda and 2nd and Hope to assist in gathering information for stock pile management.
Fullerton Creek Channel Improvement Project Phase 1 and 2
Location: Buena Park, CA
Client: Keiwit Infrastructure Group
Project Description: Replace the channel walls with a vertical wall rectangular channel that will be constructed within the existing right of way. This will increase channel conveyance capacity for a 100 year storm event.
Scope of Work: Ocular Innovations participated on both phases providing aerial video and photography of the existing conditions of the channel bed and bike paths. The documentation assisted the contractor in identifying damages to the channel to avoid any unnecessary replacement of concrete and or asphalt. A detailed report and video file of before and after using drones was provided to the client.
Mid-Coast Transit Corridor
Location: San Diego, CA
Client: Midcoast Transit Corridor Constructors
Project Description: The Mid-Coast Corridor Transit Project will extend the Trolley Blue Line service from the Santa Fe Depot in Downtown San Diego north to the University City Community, serving major activity centers such as Old Town, the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and Westfield UTC. The extension will serve nine new stations and will begin just north of the Old Town Transit Center traveling existing railroad alongside Interstate 5 to serve UCSD and University City.
Scope of Work: Our drone team was dispatched prior to construction to document the existing tracks and right of way. Due to freight and commuter lines currently utilizing the tracks, the contractor was seeking a risk mitigator to avoid any issues between the multiple agencies involved. Our team documented over 2-3 miles of track and right of way throughout the project alignment.
